At 2nd Chance Firearms, we specialize in providing comprehensive training to both novice and seasoned firearm users on topics such as firearms safety, concealed carry, and home defense. With an extensive background as a military veteran and retired DC and Maryland Law Enforcement Officer, our certified NRA instructors have cultivated a deep-seated passion for instructing firearm safety. Known for our meticulous attention to detail and ability to foster a positive and supportive learning atmosphere, our classes cover State Firearm Laws and Home Safety, as well as focus on building fundamental skills and bolstering confidence. Classes are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of five students, to facilitate more personalized instruction and allow ample time for hands-on training. This creates an optimal learning environment where students can make the most of their experience.

Overview

As a licensed firearm instructor in multiple states, including Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, Utah, and the District of Columbia, our primary focus is on promoting safety and proper handling techniques in my courses. Our classes provide students with the fundamental handgun safety rules, skills, and techniques pertinent to owning and handling firearms, with a focus on proper storage and transportation. The course includes a 100% participation rate from each student and encompasses instructional videos, lectures, handouts, role-playing, and various scenarios throughout the training, culminating in both marksmanship and live range shooting. The duration of the course is dependent on the student's training needs and CCW preferences and can range from one to two days. Additionally, all instructors are licensed for the Red Cross (CPR, First Aid, AED), Safariland Baton (MEB), and OC.
